Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Please join Rep. Morgan Irwin and me for a telephone town hall TONIGHT from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. During the hour-long event, you will be able to ask questions and we will provide a preview of the 2019 legislative session.

The Legislature must write a two-year state budget this session. Last month, Gov. Inslee issued his proposed budget, which would increase state spending by 20 percent, funded in part by a new capital gains income tax and higher business taxes. The Legislature will also vote on major proposals dealing with mental health, affordable housing, and environmental policies.

To participate, call (253) 215-1070 at the start of the program. Once connected, you can listen in and press the STAR key (*) on your telephone to ask a question.
