About Rep. Drew Stokesbary
Education and Public Service: After graduating from a local public high school, Drew earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, studying economics and mathematics. He went on to Notre Dame Law School where he graduated cum laude with a J.D. and was admitted to the Washington State Bar.
Professional Experience and Community Involvement: Drew has served as a policy aide to the King County Council on transportation, land use, public safety and budget issues. Additionally, he has provided local small businesses with legal and tax counsel.
Personal: Drew is a native Washingtonian and resides with his family in Auburn. He and his wife Ashley have a son named Jackson, and a Golden Retriever named Charleston. They enjoy spending time together on hikes in the Cascades and cooking dinner at home.
House Committees: Drew serves on the Appropriations, Finance and Judiciary Committees.
- Meeting our paramount duty to fully fund K-12 education, as required by our state constitution;
- Implementing common-sense reforms to state government, including at the Department of Transportation, to ensure accountability and responsible investment of public tax dollars;
- Reforming Washington’s tax code by making it more predictable and understandable in order for the economy to grow and add family-wage jobs.
